Clear Lake Resort

We rented a pair of cabins in the winter season for a book club retreat. The cabins were everything we expected but the staff went above and beyond to make our stay even better. They kept the roads and driveways plowed, helped us with parking, kept the walkways shoveled, assisted us with a door that wasn't accepting our code, and went above and beyond in other ways to help members of our group out. 10/10 would recommend. All 10 moms are already talking not only about next year but about bringing their own families back. Thank you for hosting such an amazing weekend and for all your hard work to keep Clear Lake beautiful and accessible. We can't wait to come back.

Everything was very clean! We ate both breakfast & lunch at the restaurant while there and both were great. Beds had pads which was unexpected. Sheets would have been perfect vs sleeping bags.

We love visiting the Clear Lake resort. The lake is beautiful, being able to see the sunken trees from our SUPs is surreal. The cabins have always been clean and the staff has always been kind and quick to address any issues. We love being able to unplug and enjoy the tranquility of the lake with no motors and no WiFi. We will be back!

This is a clean secure lovely area for overnight or family vacay. Everything worked and was immaculate including the communal bathrooms.

Very peaceful and quiet - loved the staff - helpful Felt safe - hiking and kayaking a must! The day use area can get full quick on weekends but if you are a guest at the cabins you can get away from that. Early morning is the best time for bird watching. Planning next trip already!!

We had a lovely stay at CLR, and never went more than calf-deep in the [ice cold!] water. We love that no motors are allowed, just peaceful rowers and SUPs. Talked with some divers about the petrified wood at the bottom of the lake. The hike around the lake was the perfect blend of sunny/shady and easy/moderate. Those lava areas are so cool; not a hike for flip-flops. We missed the turn to go back toward the lake [better signage for the idiots like us would help], and added an extra 2 miles, so we and the dog were well-exercised. We had fun watching the antics of the Steller's Jays and other birds--so brazen--and our dog got to know what a chipmunk is. Cabin was adequate and evenings were mostly quiet. Lovely place, and just a few miles west on 126 from another great hike, Blue Pool.

The unit was not very clean. The bathroom toilet was sweating so bad it made puddles on the floor. Beds not to comfy. The lake was beautiful, as always. But VERY COLD, and the hike around the lake was great. Not a lot else to do up there but hike, and feed the squirrls.

Beautiful spot. We reserved a 4 person rustic cabin. The only complaint we had is that we wished we’d brought a fan to cope with the dead humid heat of summer. There are no fans in the cabins. You’d need an extension chord to route it to the rooms. We were glad we bought our instant pot and air fryer to avoid using the stove and cooking the inside even hotter. It’s definitely a place to relax, nap on your paddle board, catch a ton of fish and watch the osprey skim fish off the lake. No cell service so if you’re planning side trips, map it all out before you arrive. If you’re planning to work here, there’s no cell service at all.

Experience is always excellent. Cabin's are clean and close to the lake. You can sit and look out at the tree's and lake very relaxing. Boats are clean, it's fun to spend a day in a boat catching fish.

Clear Lake is so beautiful and peaceful. We stayed in cabin 8 and it was clean and quiet. The restrooms were always clean and tidy and the staff obviously take pride in their work. We've been coming here every year for several decades and will always return.
