ACTIVITIES

Enjoy boating and fishing on Clear Lake,
plus hiking, biking, and wildlife viewing!

At Clear Lake Resort, our mountain setting allows us to offer amazing camping activities right in the park. When you stay with us in the Cascade Mountains, you can enjoy fishing and boating, hiking, mountain biking, and wildlife viewing, as well as winter snow sports like skiing and sledding. We're set near the Willamette National Forest and Deschutes National Forest, ideal places to go for hiking and horseback riding trails, cross-country skiing trails, and fishing in the rivers, streams, and lakes.

Clear Lake Resort is also set near the McKenzie and Santiam Rivers, great waterways for river rafting, river floating, and boating. You can arrange for a guided tour down these scenic rivers or visit on your own to enjoy a picnic lunch on the river banks. Afterward, take a drive along the McKenzie Pass-Santiam Pass Scenic Byway, experiencing the views of snow-capped mountains, lush forests, and mountain lakes.

If you plan a day trip away from camp, you can stop in at Black Butte Ranch for a horseback riding trip, a game of tennis, or a round of golf on the Big Meadow Golf Course or Glaze Meadow course. Imagine golfing with views of the Sisters Mountains and Mount Washington in the distance! And once you return to camp at Clear Lake Resort, you can make use of our boat rentals to enjoy rowing, paddling, or fishing for cut-throat trout. Power boats are not allowed on the lake, ensuring a quiet, peaceful camping atmosphere.

For a vibrant downtown and colorful community, just visit lovely Eugene, set about 86 miles southwest of our park. Eugene offers miles of park trails, a rhododendron garden, a charming downtown, and incredible restaurants. You can also visit nearby Sisters, the site of a number of fun festivals, fairs, shows, and rodeos. Don't miss the annual Village Green Craft Shows, the Sisters Rodeo, the Antique Show, or the Harvest Faire!
