Dallas - From towering sky scrapers to family attractions on a big scale, Dallas goes all out. This city offers so much to its visitors -- you'll find some of the finest restaurants and shopping centers in the world as well as championship sports teams, a vibrant arts community, and amusement parks for the kids. Dallas also provides plenty of ways to enjoy the outdoors, from the arboretum to Lone Star Park. Don't miss dinner at Medieval Times, a trip to a nearby ranch, or the terrific Dallas Summer Musicals. So grab your ten-gallon hat and get ready to shake hands with Dallas!

Fort Worth Stockyards - For terrific shopping, sight-seeing, and Longhorn viewing, you won't find a better place than the historic Fort Worth Stockyards. Since its days as a "cowtown" in the 1860s, the stockyard has been a hot-spot for buying and selling, and it remains so today. With over twenty-five unique shops on the grounds, you'll find gifts and keepsakes galore. And after a day of shopping, you can rest aboard the Vintage Railroad steam train or catch an act from one of the live entertainers. The Stockyards offers walking tours, museums, and special kids attractions like "Stockyards Station" and the "Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame."

Texas Motor Speedway - Known as The Great American Speedway, Fort Worth's Texas Motor Speedway is the place to be for high-adrenaline racing action. From March to November this track hosts events like the Pro-Cuts Texas World Dirt Track Championship, the Samsung 500 (a NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series race), and Qualifying Night, an IRL IndyCar Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series practice and qualifying event. Visit in early November for a race weekend that's full of festivities during the Dickies 500, the eighth race in the 10-race Chase for the NEXTEL Cup. Check the schedule to get the exact dates of other events. The speedway also offers driver appearances and fan guides for each race.

Hangar 10 Flight Museum - Calling all airplane buffs! The Hangar 10 Flight Museum is dedicated to preserving aircraft and aviation history from all periods. The planes that you'll see at this superb museum have been maintained in the most authentic condition possible, and all are flyable. The kids will love getting a look at a 1951 Cessna LC-126, a 1947 North American L-17A, a Pitts Special S-1S, a 1948 Cessna 140, and a 1979 Cessna 180. This nonprofit group depends on volunteers to restore the planes and show them to visitors. They're in the process of restoring a number of places, including a 1951 Cessna 190, a J-3 Cub, a 1941 Howard DGA-15,and an Interstate Cadet.
