Free catch/release fishing for campers, with rentals for kayaking, canoeing,or boating in our private spring-fed lake, and hiking and biking on the tricounty triangle trail, part of the rails to trails system. Nestled on 65 acres in the hills of southern Ohio near Chillicothe in Frankfort, Lake Hill Campground is a scenic wooded and quiet campground offering a variety of options for experiencing the great outdoors. Lake Hill campground welcomes RV's and tent campers, as well as offering two styles of cozy cabin rentals. Pets are not allowed in the cabins. The secluded private campground is set on a beautiful 4-acre lake with a sandy beach, surrounded by hills and towering trees. Lake Hill Campground is an ideal destination for family fun. Follow the road to a relaxing vacation in the Foothills of Southern Ohio! To provide a safe and quiet environment for all our campers, alcohol is not allowed in the campground. We DO NOT allow anyone to bring in their own firewood to burn. We allow campers to collect down brush from the wooded areas and we also sell firewood. Moving firewood is the culprit for increasing the spread of Emerald Ash Borer and the Gypsy Moth. Please do not ask to bring any firewood in our campground. Lake Hill Campground offers the closest Tri-county Triangle Trail and North Fork Paint Creek camping facilities. The campground is all about enjoying the great outdoors, and guests won't have to venture far for great outdoor activities. The 4-acre lake features a sandy beach where guests can sunbathe, build sandcastles, just relax, or catch and release fishing. Lake Hill Campground This Frankfort campground provides plenty of large, open grassy areas for family fun and games, like bocce ball, monster golf, croquet, and more! Enjoy an outdoor meal at the pavilion area or by the lake; there are picnic tables throughout the campground and the pavilion features a large charcoal grill available for groups. Lake Hill Campground is the closest campground to the Tri-County Triangle Trail, which consists of a 50-mile round trip recreational trail. The trail is built on an abandoned railroad bed and connects Chillicothe, Frankfort, Greenfield, and Washington Court House. Visitors can enjoy a walk, ride, or hike as they pass the gorgeous flora and fauna. The trail is parallel to North Fork Paint Creek along the entrance to the camp. Paint Creek State Park includes several creeks and the amazing Seven Caves where visitors can enjoy kayaking, canoeing, fishing, and more! Other state parks and natural areas in the region include Pike Lake State Park, Rocky Fork Creek, and Lake White State Park.
