Camping at 2 Rivers
I recently stayed at 2 Rivers Campground in Carrollton, Kentucky — and it was a wonderful, peaceful escape. Nestled at the confluence of the Ohio and Kentucky rivers, the campground offers serene water views, lush greenery, and a sense of calm that’s rare to find. Our site was well-maintained and roomy, with level ground, helpful hookups and easy access to clean restrooms and showers. Evenings were magical: sunset over the river brought soft pinks and purples, the air felt fresh, and there was a lovely quietude broken only by rustling leaves or distant water sounds.
Staff were friendly, responsive, and genuinely seemed to care that my stay was comfortable. I appreciated how easy it was to get in and out — especially with a service dog in tow — and I felt safe and welcome throughout. The campground strikes the perfect balance between peaceful seclusion and convenient access to nearby conveniences, like Carrollton’s quaint small-town charm and local shops. Whether you’re looking for a restful riverside retreat or a base for weekend adventures, 2 Rivers Campground delivers. Highly recommend it for anyone who loves nature, quiet nights, and easy-going hospitality.
