Tanglewood Park

We stayed here on our way to the Outer Banks, just one night but wish we could have stayed longer! Nice grounds, wooded and spaces are nice. There is a nice walking trail adjacent to the park. Park host was super nice and helpful!

Our first visit. It was only overnight, but we had a great level site. There looks like there is a ton of stuff to do, but we only got to see a little bit of it. Checkin was ease. We look forward to going back.

After traveling in the Northeast, we were making our way home to Georgia. I found Tanglewood Park by accident on a Google search. The park is a fantastic place to came. Access to the the whole park was a bonus. Sites were paved, good power and full hookups. Situated under large trees, it was beautiful. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

This is one of the prettiest parks we've visited. We had an electrical issue with our RV while there. Joe, host, worked diligently to figure out our issue and even contacted someone to come out and fix the issue, providing pictures and part numbers. He gets the host award! Highly recommend for spring flowers and fall leaves!

Only stayed for a couple of nights. First found out about the campground when visiting for the Christmas Lights show a couple years ago, and then we subsequently stayed at the manor house for an anniversary. This camping visit was only 2 days but it was awesome. There is everything you could want nearby, from restaurants to shopping to Tractor Supply. We brought a lot less than usual, and shopped once we got there. campsite was large, campground was quiet; We had a 2 day peace and quiet, relaxing time. Camp hosts had lots of good info about local stuff. At 42.00/night, this is about half of a "full service" campground, but we didn't need all that stuff. This was perfect, thank you.

We were in the Winston-Salem area to visit a friend. I found this park on Google Maps. We were so pleasantly surprised by how close we could be to town in such a beautiful park setting. The sites are well spaced, so even your neighbor is not close to you. They are also under a large canopy of mature trees. There is a dog park within a short walk, as well as miles of paved and unpaved tree-lined trails. We went to the old Salem Village, which is a bit like a small Williamsburg, Virginia. We have two dogs, and they had lots of dog friends to meet. We will definitely be back. We hope to explore the area some more.

Tanglewood Park is a nice, clean, county park with full hook ups for RV's. Lots of shade, paved trails to walk or run on and dirt trails to hike or ride your bike. There is also horses at the park and two nice large off the leash dog parks.

We stayed in site #7, great paved spot on the end w/lots of green space. Hosts were super nice. First time here so we drove all around the park and had no idea it was so big. Highly recommend!

Very lovely park and facilities. Most if not all sites are not level. Our travel trailer was able to be leveled but you may want to check which site would be better for your rig. The park itself is great and there are many paved walking trails and biking trails. All amenities worked well. We will be back!
