Convenient & Clean

This was the first stop on our first long distance RV trip and we arrived much later than anticipated and in a storm, but were still welcomed warmly and given assistance in getting parked. We didn't get time to do anything in the area due to the storm, so we got on the road again first thing in the morning, but would like to try again under better circumstances.

Awesome place!

We stopped for a quick overnight heading call you right back to MI after some time in KS . Trying to get home before the first snow . Most of the campgrounds have already closed for the season but not DW thankfully. Bonus, super friendly , very clean, and beautiful quiet park ..on our next trip south we’ll definitely plan an overnight or more here.

Great Experience

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay. The campground was clean, the grounds were very pretty. Everyone was super friendly and very helpful, which came in handy for us, especially because we aren't experienced in RV life yet. We can't wait to go back and highly recommend staying with them.

Home Away From Home

This is one of the best campgrounds I have ever stayed at. I was greeted at the entrance by the owner who made us feel very welcomed. They guided us back to the site with lights because it was dark out. Site was a nice pull through right on the lake. The lake and camp sites were surrounded by beautiful trees in full fall color end of October. We were invited to breakfast on Sunday morning up at the camp office which they do for their guest after a home Illinois Football Game. Homemade food with biscuits and gravy and egg casseroles. All the staff were just so nice. It was really one of the best camping experiences I have ever had.

Nice Atmosphere

We stayed one night for a wedding reception at a nearby small town. Lovely in the fall. Beautiful trees. Nice path to walk our dogs around the lake. Very friendly staff and also very helpful and laid-back environment. The campground was sold out the night we stayed. It appeared like campers got together in a “garage” to have breakfast and coffee. Very cute camp ground. Nice dog park. Reasonably sized sites and level with most being pull thrus. We would definitely stay again and recommend to fellow campers.

Trekking southward

As we left Wisconsin for Tennessee, we had a few days to kill in between time. So my wife was looking for places to stay, and she found champagne,Illinois. She made the reservation and we pulled in early afternoon. The camp hostess lady met us at the office and greeted us cordially. She gave us a nice rundown of the camp layout and wished us a happy stay. From that point, another employee directed us to our site and reiterated some of the camp layout. We felt very welcome there. The campground itself is located a mile or so out of champagne. And it is a beautiful setting with its own man-made pond and mature beautiful trees. Being it was in the fall of the year. The trees were turning colors and a cool breeze to remind us of the upcoming season. The facility has on site laundry and very nice, warm restrooms and showers. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone passing through, as we will also consider this campsite when we return north in the spring. In addition, we thought the prices were very reasonable. Thank you D&W
