Trekking southward
As we left Wisconsin for Tennessee, we had a few days to kill in between time. So my wife was looking for places to stay, and she found champagne,Illinois. She made the reservation and we pulled in early afternoon. The camp hostess lady met us at the office and greeted us cordially. She gave us a nice rundown of the camp layout and wished us a happy stay. From that point, another employee directed us to our site and reiterated some of the camp layout. We felt very welcome there. The campground itself is located a mile or so out of champagne. And it is a beautiful setting with its own man-made pond and mature beautiful trees. Being it was in the fall of the year. The trees were turning colors and a cool breeze to remind us of the upcoming season. The facility has on site laundry and very nice, warm restrooms and showers. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone passing through, as we will also consider this campsite when we return north in the spring. In addition, we thought the prices were very reasonable.
