Tanglewood Park

Tanglewood is one of the campgrounds I can book and not worry about. Always clean, friendly staff and campers, and plenty of good restaurants nearby if we don't want to cook.

Enjoyed nicely spaced RV sites, explored trails and activities. Nice Park, well maintained, and friendly helpful camp host.

We incorporated a camping weekend with a concert at the Ramkat downtown Winston-Salem. This location is convenient to the city, only twenty minutes. We have stayed here before. It's clean and well maintained. Beware, many sites are on a hill so leveling right to left as well as front to back are key. We have a thirty foot fifth wheel with the nose to the ground.On top of a great campground there is a dog park, hiking trails, tennis courts, arboretum, swimming pool and soft golf.

We enjoyed a fantastic two weeks at Tanglewood campground! It’s always so clean and the host were very friendly …. We’re excited to return in November! Our very favorite campground and park. A special place!

Serene, clean, convenient to walking trails, good Wi-Fi, lending library, shaded by mature trees—perfection!!

Sites require lots of leveling so bring lots of leveling blocks. I would recommend at least one if not two sites as ADA (disabled) sites I have limited mobility and it’s very difficult to level my site.

Camp Hosts are excellent. Site clean, paved and level. Hookup facilities are well organized and easily accessible. Unfortunately no wood fires, Solo Stoves are not permitted. So bring your LP gas fire pit. Great hiking/walking trails. Very quiet and enjoyable.

We fell in love with the campground as soon as we drove in and immediately extended our stay by two nights.

We were looking for a campground relatively close to home for a quick weekend getaway for our first camping trip of the season. Tanglewood was an excellent choice. LOVED the big trees and shade . Walking trail at the edge of the campground was great. The host were so welcoming and helpful. Next time we will bring our bikes & maybe my son’s dog.

Tanglewood is one of our favorite places to camp because of its proximity to outstanding recreational, eating, and shopping opps yet has a feeling of seclusion. The bathrooms are coded but rather dated compared to other area camping. The biggest drawback is no fires allowed including Solo Stoves. While we understand the risks and liabilities, it inhibits socializing in the evening. The camp hosts were outstanding and attentive to any needs. Reynolds golf course was lacking, the fairways and bunkers need desperate attention. It's a shame to build such a gorgeous new clubhouse from the ground up if the golf courses don't match it in excellence.
