Buffalo National River - The Buffalo National River flows free over swift running rapids and quiet pools for its 135-mile length. You will find a wild, free-flowing and unpolluted river that passes towering bluffs, pioneer homesteads and wilderness areas, dominated by a vast hardwood forest, verdant much of the visitor season. The river offers recreational pursuits like canoeing, fishing and swimming.

Whether you explore the herb garden, learn about pottery and blacksmithing, or hear music from the dulcimer and autoharp, you'll come away with a new respect for the people of the past. The park offers traditional country cooking at their restaurant, workshops on traditional crafts, and plenty of boot-stomping good music. Don't miss the soap making and basket weaving demonstrations!
