Enjoy all the attractions of Lake Allatoona!

Atlanta - The historic city of Atlanta has far more to offer visitors than tours of antebellum Southern mansions. Plan a day trip to Atlanta and see the pandas at the zoo, the underwater wonders at the Georgia Aquarium, or the great artworks of the Louvre at the High Art Museum. Enjoy shopping at Lennox Square and Phipps Plaza or head out on a walking tour of Atlanta's most treasured historic buildings. Atlanta offers visits to its historic underground and the fascinating World of Coca Cola, a tour through the history of one of America's most popular beverages. Sports fans will be eager to see the Falcons during a home game or to catch a hockey game at Phillips Arena or a baseball game in Braves Stadium.

Six Flags White Water - If you're looking for a way to have fun in the sun and beat the heat at the same time, head to Six Flags White Water! Set down the road from Six Flags Over Georgia amusement park, White Water offers incredible thrilling rides like the Tornado, a 130-foot long tunnel that four people can traverse together. Pass through the waterfall and into the catch pool at the bottom, then get ready to tackle the Cliffhanger, a 90-foot straight drop into the water. This has the same force as a fall from a 9-story building -- but with a happier ending. The park also has rides that are specifically designed for smaller visitors and families. Enjoy the slides on the Slippery Ridge, scoot the Little Hooch River, or visit Little Squirt's Island.

Booth Western Art Museum - Located in Cartersville Georgia, this 80,000 square foot museum features Civil War art, presidential portraits, Western illustrations, and a unique collection of Western movie posters. The newly-built facility truly lets you "discover the west without leaving the south." See works by Maynard Dixon, Robert Summers, and James Reynolds. View more than 25 movie posters from the glory days of Western films, plus a stagecoach that was used in the late 1800s. The museum includes a hands-on children's section called Sagebrush Ranch where little ones (aged 2 - 12) can sit on a life-sized model horse, climb aboard a stage coach, or practice drawing a buffalo. At the end of your visit, stop by the gift shop for posters, cards, books, and other Western memorabilia.

Georgia Aquarium - See the charming penguins, barking sea lions, delicate jellyfish, and spiny river fish at Atlanta's incredible aquarium. Visitors of all ages can learn about Georgia sea turtles and their habitat or walk through the glass tunnel to view the creatures of the Great Barrier Reef. You'll see more than 100,000 fishes including hammerhead sharks, stingrays, and whale sharks, the world's largest fish. Travel the rivers of Africa, Asia, South America, and Georgia, spotting piranhas from one continent and American otters from another. Watch a 3-D show and a live actor perform at the 4-D theater, then stop in for a snack at Cafe Aquaria. Purchase tickets in advance for a special behind the scenes tour of one of the exhibits.
