Sunrise Campground IA

Very clean, convenient, and the staff were great!!!! We even had a guy come around on a golf cart 2 or 3 times to ask us if we needed anything. Great Place.

We love coming to your campground every year. But this year at our site 307 the cable hookup didn’t work. Was very disappointed but thankfully we was camping with another couple. We chose that side so we could get ball games.

We had a great time at the campground. The staff was very helpful and friendly, especially towards children.

Campground will not let you check in early unless you pay a fee. We had football practice and a game Friday night and didn't arrive at our camper until after the Iowa State game on Saturday night but had to pay $10 extra to bring our camper up an hour early Friday to work around our busy football schedule.

The campground has come a long way over the past few years! It is clean, friendly, and welcoming staff. We have been coming for over 10 years.

We needed a place to stop for 1 night on our way home. I remember camping there a child. Beautiful view of the lake and close restaurants. Very easy on line reservation and easy checking. The camp site was perfect.

Have stayed several times before and never have I been told to specifically park in a very specific manner which would then make it impossible to use the concrete pad based on my camper Toyhauler design and I was backed up so extremely close to the roadway people glared at me when they passed by with their attached campers. I normally bring my motorcycle; this time I am glad I didn't as I would have had to pay extra to keep it on my spot (though I had an unused concrete pad it could have parked on). The host refused to allow any other form of parking so both my camper doors were in low spots and when it rained it puddled, and it surprised us with sudden unexpected rains a lot. One site had a howling dog the owner left tied out and on-duty host would not answer when I went to ask for assistance. Marked I will not return as at this time I am undecided and plan to look into other campgrounds in the area. Campground hosts are what makes the Sunrise Campground worth going to. The one I met on arrival didn't make a good impression.

This campground has amazing trees and a well laid-out area right next to Storm Lake and very close to King's Point Water Resort. With power/water/sewage for almost every camp site, it was suited for everyone's needs and the shower/restroom area was clean and easily accessible. Highly recommend this camp site! Location and shade and the great camp fire rings with the cooking grates built in are all amazing attributes and would have this place at the top of the list for a return visit!

A delightful treasure I discovered while traveling through NW Iowa. As solo female traveler I found Sunrise Campground delivered convenience, safety and an amazing view of the sunset on the water. Loof forward to returning.
