Sunrise Campground IA

The campground was very clean and surprisingly quiet. The hosts were friendly and brought us ice and firewood a couple of times during the stay. The camp is also close to retrieve items that we needed during our stay all within a short drive downtown. Great stay.

Very nice new bath house with many private bathrooms and showers. Some spaces are close together. Friendly manager's/host.

Our family of 5 loved everything about this trip. The campsite was beautiful and being located directly next to the lake was perfect. We fished every day. Rode our bikes and scooters on the bike trail. We even visited the King's Pointe water park for one day. We wished our trip was a little longer as we weren't quite ready to leave! We will definitely be back.

This campground is convenient. We live 10 miles away and kept the camper in a permanent spot for the summer. (Memorial Day to Sept 1) 1st time permanent spotters! King's Pointe/Regatta Grille is just a few blocks, or a bike ride away. The Cobb Tavern is 3-4 blocks the other direction. We like the flexibility of having several dining options close by. There are several grocery and convenience store options available. We were a bit disappointed with the upkeep of our camping spot. Prepare to do some things yourself - trimming of grass around the camper and patio area, and pruning tree limbs which are hanging low, bring a shears to cut them back. I am talking about the back row of trees behind the permanent spots. These trees haven't had attention and will scrape and scratch the top of the camper. Not a big deal, but for the cost of the daily fee, this should be handled by the campground. The campsite is clean, we felt safe. Our belongings were never touched. I feel the camp hosts monitor things closely. I do think some campers are given leniency with some of the rules. I would like to see a more consistent enforcement of rules regarding car parking.

Lots of people came on the weekend. Showers and bathrooms were great. A little cramped on spot size but it worked well.

we camped with our daughter and small children. Area was good for all of us. Not alot of traffic in/out so children could ride scooter and bikes without fear. Clean site and close to items we wanted to visit. Very quiet at night for bedtime needs. We were there during the week which may have helped the quietness. There was some street nose on Sunday eve, but quieted down by 1030 pm and wasn't in the campground itself.

Nice sites, Secure, clean, flat, spacious, easy in easy out, good hookups, best of all the office lady was very accommodating and a pleasure to talk to.

The staff that helped with our reservation was very nice. The sites are spacious and clean. The restrooms were not clean or nice. We used four separate stalls and all had standing water and toilets were super duty. Also the smell of this community was horrible.

We stayed for 4 days. I was not impressed with the overall beautification of the campground area. Sites are overgrown, with unkept gravel pads that long need to be redone. Concrete patios were broken and crumbling. Picnic tables are peeling paint, splintery and uneven. Sites are extremely close together. Lots of little pieces of trash everywhere. The sewer hookups required lifting the hose to drain. The grass could be better cared for. There is no beach even though the lake is directly across the street. The sunset was beautiful. The camp hosts/office personnel were friendly and helpful. The overall experience just wasn’t what I had hoped.

We absolutely loved this campground. We will definitely return in the future. Clean, friendly and quiet!!!
