More than 180 National Register Historic homes and buildings showcase its eclectic blend of past and present. Be sure to also visit Southwestern University, Texas's oldest institution of higher learning, chartered in 1854. Southwestern University offers a wide variety of stage productions, art exhibits, and music venues. The Art, Music and Theater Departments have something for all ages.
