OVERVIEW

Campers Have It Made in the Shade
At Sacramento Shade RV Park

A cooling canopy of trees spreading over the campground is the distinctive trademark of Sacramento Shade RV Park, set in the heart of California's capital. The oasis of green is ideal for visitors heading to recreational opportunities on the Sacramento River, trying their luck at the nearby casinos or touring the historical area of the city. Stay overnight or as long as you like to soak in the sun. Reservations can be made with the online  system designed to make planning a vacation quick and easy.

Spacious RV sites offer full hookups and 50-amp electrical service. Site sizes range from 30 to 40 feet or longer. All guests can enjoy restrooms and hot showers, laundry facilities, free Wi-Fi and the club/meeting room. The perfect activity for a warm California day is a dip in the park swimming pool. Take the time to relax on the concrete patio. Free cable television is available to long-term guests, and they may sign up for phone service and a mailbox.

Sacramento is a city that celebrates its Gold Rush past. Visitors today can view more than 50 historical buildings, including the 1849 Eagle Theater and the 1853 building that was once home to the California Supreme Court. A fascinating perspective can be gained by taking an underground tour. Due to flooding, Sacramento became the only city in California to physically raise its streets. Climb aboard a train powered by a vintage locomotive for an excursion along the levees of the Sacramento River.

All the fun and fantastic food of the California state Fair is just a mile away from Sacramento Shade RV Park at the Cal Expo center. Midway rides, concerts, competitions and exhibits are packed into 18 days in the summer. Raging Waters Sacramento is also located on the grounds. More than 25 rides and slides provide cool fun for those of all ages. Cal Expo is the scene of the only live harness racing on the West Coast. The fishing is fine, from the bank or from a boat, on the Sacramento River. Discover Discovery Park in downtown Sacramento, where the American and Sacramento rivers converge. Boaters can use the boat ramp to access both rivers.
