Pioneer RV Park offers plenty of activities in Quincy, California!


Enjoy local events with a small town flair while camping at Pioneer RV Park - Arts & Crafts Fair, Plumas Sierra County Fair, Auto Racing, the Mountain Harvest Festival, High Sierra Music Festival, the Quincy Main Street Sparkle, Old Fashioned County Picnic and Car Show, Joshua Festival, Solar Chili Cookoff, Quilt Shows, Railroad Days and a weekly Farmer's Market during the summer.

Next to Pioneer RV Park is a large Olympic size swimming pool, a county park with a playground and skate park and the County fairgrounds with many events during the year. In nearby Graeagle, are six golf courses -some for beginners and some championship courses. The area also is known for great fishing on several nearby lakes and streams.

There are many interesting museums in the area. Just minutes away is the train museum located in Portola. Plumas County is rich in train history and is renowned for its unique railroad engineering along the Feather River. At Keddie, six miles west of Quincy, stands the only railroad wye in the world. A few miles east of Quincy is one of the most unique bits of railroad construction in North America. Called Williams Loop, the railroad track makes a continuous one mile loop in a 1 percent grade to gain altitude. In many cases, long trains cross over themselves.
