Palomar Mountain Observatory - Located just six miles from Oak Knoll Campground, the Palomar Observatory is an ideal place to view the night sky. Standing in an observatory that's as big as the Parthenon in Rome, this viewing station is active during every clear night of the year. The observatory is home to the 200-inch Hale Telescope, the 48-inch Oschin Telescope, the 18-inch Schmidt telescope, and a 60-inch reflecting telescope. You can view distant planets, learn about the Milky Way, or watch for UFOs! Palomar Mountain is also a great place to enjoy hiking the trails, bird watching, or a picnic lunch with a phenomenal view.

Harrah's Rincon Resort and Casino - For exciting adult entertainment, you can't beat a day at Harrah's Rincon Resort. From gaming and dining to live shows and nightlife, this lively casino has it all. Follow the Monkey Trails, tour the Giant Panda Research Station, or view the chilly Polar Bear Plunge. You'll see Sun Bears relaxing in their forest environment, watch reptiles sunning on the mesa, and find yourself right in the thick of things at the Rain Forest Aviary. The park has a number of restaurants, cafes, and snack stands for meal times, and there's also a Children's Zoo, on-site ATMs, and rental strollers available. Old Town Temecula and Wine Country - Beautiful Temecula California is the place to be for festivals, shows, and live music. Head to this land of vineyards and stage shows during any time of year to hear live bluegrass, meet friendly people, or take part in one of their annual events. You won't want to miss the October Old Town Quilt Show, the Howl-o-ween event, the November Erle Stanley Gardner Mystery Weekend, or the Dickens of a Christmas get-together. In March, the whole town turns out to celebrate the Old Town Temecula Bluegrass Festival, followed in May by Western Days and in June by the Balloon and Wine Festival. From amazing street paintings to rock and roll bands, you'll find it all in Temecula!
