Brandon - Beautiful Brandon, Manitoba has plenty of history, culture, and modern amenities. With parks, gardens, museums, and galleries, Brandon has everything you're looking for. Be sure not to miss Brandon's star attractions, the Riverbank Discovery Centre and the Commonwealth Air Training Plan Museum. Take a hike or a bike ride along the Assiniboine Riverbank Trail System, see the paintings and fine crafts of the Art Gallery of Southwestern Manitoba, and wander the gorgeous sculpture-filled Eleanor Kidd Gardens. You'll find excellent shopping and dining in the historic downtown, and wintertime skating and cross-country skiing at the Manitoba Hydro Power Smart Waterfall of Lights.

Oak Island Golf - Designed by renowned course designer Les Furber, this gorgeous set of greens offers some of the best putting surfaces available today. With its serene prairie landscape, rolling wetlands, and spreading shade trees, this course epitomizes the beauty of Manitoba. You can start your day with a warm-up at the driving range, then head out to the front nine to explore the bunkers, mounds, and water views. The back nine cuts through ancient oaks trees and offers a traditional parkland golfing atmosphere. This 6626-yard course has four tee-decks at each hole, providing a customized golfing experience.

Virden - The lovely town of Virden is filled with hospitality. You'll find fun community theater, tennis and golf courses, a hockey arena, and many historic homes and buildings. Many of the structures date back to the early 1880s, including the famous Aud Theater, a restored turn-of-the-century opera house. Visit the Canadian Pacific Railway Station, built in 1900, one of the buildings that marks this town as an early railroad center. Don't miss the chance to take a stroll through this historic town or stop off for a dip in the pool or a round of curling on the ice rink.

Manitoba Summer Fair - There's so much to do at Manitoba's Summer Fair in Brandon! This incredible annual fair, held in early June every year, includes rides, terrific fair foods, and a petting zoo. You can zoom down the roller coaster, whirl through the air on the tilt-o-whirl, or head to one of the food stands for all your traditional favorites. Whether you're after fries, elephant ears, scones, or roasted corn, you'll find it at this classic summer fair. You can take in the horse shows, see the vendors and exhibits, or watch a race or competition. Every day's schedule brings something new.
