Tanglewood Park

This is a wonderful campground with full hook ups. It also has a bathhouse for those that want to use it. Very clean and quiet. The camp hosts are extremely friendly. There is a huge dog park within walking distance of the campground. Plenty of nature trails to walk or ride bikes on. The only drawbacks are some of the site are extremely unlevel. We had ours all the way down on the front and it still was not level but it wasn't bad enough to cause and issue. You also can not have a firepit at your your site, not even the solo stove ones. But other than those 2 things, this place is amazing! Lots of nature to see also. We saw deer and horses while there.

Very nice park

To us, Tanglewood is one of the unknown GEMS of NC. You do camp, but Tanglewood has so much more to offer. The two golf courses are among the best in the state. There is horseback riding, swimming, many, many walking and bicycle trails, and on and on. Check it out for yourself.

This was our first stay at Tanglewood and we will definitely return! It’s a beautiful and well taken care of park and the location is close to many other things! Thanks for a great stay.

We have been to Tanglewood several times and have always had great experiences. We love the setting, walking trails and proximity to restaurants and shopping. Unfortunately, the last two times we visited (June and October 2024), the water pressure is terrible. We notified the camp host and he said “we only get what the county gives us”. Both times we stayed on site 2, so I’m not sure if it is a problem with that site or the entire park. For sure it is not in our RV because we are at another campground right now and have excellent water pressure. I would love for Forsyth County to figure this out so we can return, but until then, we will choose another campground.

This property is part of the Reynold's family estate and is meticulously maintained. To compliment the grounds. the camp hostess Margaret, is charming and helpful. She and her husband help you get situated on camping pads they have thoroughly cleaned and prepared in anticipation of your arrival. A camping concierge service. In the end, acres upon acres to explore and a lovely experience. We'll be back.

I frequent Tanglewood Park but never tried their campground. Excellent hosts, very well laid out sites so backing in was a breeze. Very safe and secure. My pups enjoyed, despite the rain.I would definitely recommend.

Great park easy entrance and exit with camper. Service of host was excellent so friendly and helpful. Would highly recommended staying here

Only thing I would like to see is some pickleball courts in park.

The campground is located next to Tanglewood Park which offers an incredible amount of things to do! We’ve never visited a park with so much to offer! There is tennis, a pool, walking trails, biking, 3 courses at different levels, horse stable, soft golf. It is absolutely beautiful. We were visiting to participate in the MSBike event in the park and it was so nice to be able to stay right there. The campgrounds give you full hookups and enough space between sites. There are two things I wish they had. I missed not having the ability to build a campfire at our site. We usually cook on the campfire. But I will admit that we didn’t take advantage of the “community” fire pits. Maybe next time.
