Awesome Park

Tanglewood is one of my wife's and my favorite parks. The park is always clean, well maintained, and quiet. From walking to bike riding, as well as golf, there is so much to do every day. An absolutely wonderful RV park!!

Great Stay

A quality experience. The entire teams of Camp Hosts go above and beyond supporting campers. Great attitudes and work ethics. A satisfying stay with excellent facilities. We will definitely return.

Great Visit!

Had never been to Tanglewood & was so impressed with the park and camping facilities. The campground hosts couldn't have been nicer. The park itself is beautiful and has so much to offer. Already made plans to go back with grandkids & camp, once the pool is open.

Beautiful (with care)

We have been in this park maybe 20 times visiting family in the area. It is beautiful with the trees and spacing between sites. The only thing to watch out for is the slope of the sites. There are many sites which require severe leveling. Your trailer tongue may need to be on the ground. If only the sites were more level this would be the most perfect place on the planet to camp. Campers get full access to the wonderful park and the great dog park. The location is convenient to great restaurants in nearby Winston Salem. And, you are close to "Old Salem", which is somewhat like Williamsburg, but in NC. Through the years we have seen the camping fee rise over 30% and the chance of getting a site is more of a challenge. People love this place, especially when the light show is going on at the end of the year. Campers get to see that at no extra charge. So, enjoy your stay, but watch out for leveling your rig in some sites.

Another great visit

Tanglewood is exquisite. Clean, safe, well maintained, sites not too close together. Of course, you do need to bring leveling blocks because most sites are on a slope, but they are paved and side to side level. The only thing that marred my visit was not Tanglewood's fault. When walking my puppy over to the woods on a leash, he was set upon by a small terrier who had been sitting in the open doorway of a trailer, and he was not secured. He came charging at us, barking and snarling. I was able to keep him at bay by swinging my trash bag to block him while calling for his owners to come get him--now! I got the usual "he wouldn't hurt him" (right, but he was snarling and barking so she doesn't know that). Fortunately my puppy is resilient, but a more shy dog could have been emotionally scarred because they chose not to follow the rules. But it wasn't Tanglewood's fault and I did see the owners received a visit from the officials in a golf cart. Hopefully they learned that the rules apply to everyone to keep their dog on a leash and secure. But they obviously were "special" because they assured me he had never done that before. Thank you Tanglewood for addressing the issue.

First Time RVers - First Campsite

We live nearby and decided to purchase our first RV. Having never done this before, we decided to camp near our home to take some of the pressure off based on our lack of experience. The campsite, the hosts and the other guests were tremendous helps to us and we could not have asked for better weather. Looking at the sites, we learned that a few sites are sloped more than others and in my humble opinion, sites 43 and 44 look to be the sites I would choose in the future. We loved our time and can't wait until our next outing, which may be Tanglewood. :)
